A Satisfying Lunch

One of four food and floral still lives created in the spring and early summer of 2024. I strove to continue the sense of bright light in this painting and of layering patterns. In addition to the sense of light and the patterns, I played with a repetition of circles and a contrast with repeated squares and diamonds. From the shape of the bagels, plate, the lemon slice, the ellipse of the tea, and the daisies and then overlapping those pleasing shapes with the drama of the sharp competing angles of the cloth and table. My personal challenge with this mini series was to keep things loose and more spirited and impulsive. I wouldn't say I achieved this goal.

Specs and Care

A 26 7/8 x 38 3/8 inch soft pastel painting in a 2 1/2 inch white mat with a modern light wood frame and non-glare acrylic glazing. Exterior frame dimensions come to 31 5/8 x 43 1/8 inches. This painting is ready to hang and arrives with a picture hanging nail, making it effortless for you to display.

Art Pick Up / Local Delivery

Art hanging at Oxbow Bakery must remain up until the end of show. I will be taking my show down Thursday, October 3rd during the afternoon hours of 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. You are more than welcome to come and pick up your painting during that time!

Otherwise, I will be having the official pick up and delivery date on Saturday, October 5th. Starting with pick up times between 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm and then delivery following after.?

Studies will be packaged in a foam cushioned box for safe and easy transport. Larger paintings will be wrapped in packaging foam. Each piece will come with a complimentary hanging hook and nail.
